2024年8月25日至31日，第37届国际地质大会（igc2024）在韩国釜山举行。本次大会由国际地质科学联合会、韩国地质学会、韩国地球科学与矿产资源研究所等单位联合主办。会议共设置41个主题，来自全球121个国家的2000余名专家学者参会，共同探讨地球科学领域的前沿问题。
中国石油大学（华东）林承焰教授团队由董春梅教授和任丽华副教授带队，詹远、刘华峰、张向博、仲冠南、张禧雪、李霄、李明月与张鑫豪等8名硕士、博士研究生受邀并作英文口头学术报告，分别就《lithofacies characteristics and sweet spot distribution of lacustrine shale oil reservoirs: a case study of the second member of the kongdian formation in the cangdong sag, bohai bay basin》《a seismic geomorphology study of the fluvial and shallow-delta facies of the oligocene huagang formations in the east china sea shelf basin, china》《the impact of fracture development patterns under tectonic influence on hydrocarbon productivity in the bozi-dabei region》《characterization and development patterns of different types of karst fracture-cave systems under multi-factor controls: a case study of the lungu 7 area in the tarim basin》《characteristics of effective fracture development in deep-ultra-deep reservoirs and its impact on gas reservoir productivity》《comparison of gas-bearing parameters evaluation methods for deep shale based on pressure-holding coring technique》《depositional characteristics of a braided river-type alluvial fan controlled by a small syndepositional fault》和《intelligent logging identification of petrophysical facies》等进行宣讲，介绍了油气藏描述新技术在深层、非常规油气藏勘探开发中的最新研究进展。与会专家充分肯定了该团队的研究成果，并就深层及非常规油气藏描述最新科研进展进行交流和讨论。
